What if I'm not sure if my child needs speech?

This is the question I am most asked when meeting new families.  Maybe a teacher, pediatrician, or family member has mentioned that you might want to have your child evaluated.

That is why I am here.

Do you take insurance?

I provide information for your insurance company.

At the end of each month, I create an itemized receipt with all the necessary codes that you would need to submit to your insurance.  In addition, I provide a list of questions for you to ask your insurance about your specific reimbursement policy.  I accept checks and all major credit cards.  Private pay gives me more time to provide the best quality services I can to your family.

What does therapy look like?

Therapy takes place either in my office therapy room or your home!   It is all done through play, including books, puzzles, pretend play, matching games, art, and whatever interests your child.  I enjoy giving choices to children because it gives me more ideas for carryover suggestions.

What is your cancellation policy?

We will work together to make up sessions.

If someone in your family or close contacts is sick, I encourage you to cancel.  I will do the same.  If you are out of town, I understand. The sooner you let me know your schedule, we can work out a plan!  We will review our cancellation policy prior to services beginning.

Do I stay for the session with my child?

I believe children are at their best when they are engaged with those they are around the most.

With younger children, I like for parents to engage in the sessions, and for older children, the parents to join at the end to talk about carryover ideas.
